Artist Bio
Nyomi Williams (b. 2002 in Halifax, Nova Scotia; lives and works in Vancouver, B.C.) is a mixed-media artist specializing in collage and performance. Her work highlights the complexities of the human experience and how it connects to the world at large. Through the abstraction of the human form, she expertly draws connections between minuscule microscopic particles and the vast celestial structures found in our universe. Abstract mark-making, expressive colors, and distinctive ways of blending mediums make her art feel inherently alien while simultaneously connecting with the viewer on a personal level.
