Claire Cohen
Feb 26th to March 29th 2021 Artist Statement
In my search for a personal language in painting, my work evolved towards the non-objective and non-figurative imagery. We all live within an inner world of images, thoughts and memories that shift continually, evoking a rich texture of feelings and mood. Sometimes images arise vividly in our mind and spark a chain of thoughts and ideas. Those ideas come to focus and expression in form, color and texture which I use to express a deeper spiritual and intimate relationships between those elements.
