Pedagogical worlds of early childhood education: characters, stories, ideas, rituals

The installation is comprised of select pieces from ongoing pedagogical documentation, offering glimpses of the complex work happening in the early childhood spaces at Britannia. Throughout the year, young children and educators, supported by ECPN [ecpn.ca] pedagogist Megan MacDonald and Capilano University [capilanou.ca]y [capilanou.ca] atelierista Tatiana Zakharova-Goodman, took up questions of abilities, care, roots, and rituals, exploring them thorough conversations, drawings, sculpting, and movement. We invite you to pay attention to the theories, stories and ideas that emerged as the children and early childhood educators worked together to think more deeply about their world.
